Nestled in a magical and unspoiled landscape, Bowmore overlooks the often rugged Atlantic coast. Rich in history and lore, our whisky is named after the region's legendary black stones.

Since 1779, we have crafted our expressive and multidimensional single malt whisky, surrounded by the untamed beauty of our native island. Over the centuries, some aspects of our crafting process have changed. However, the processes we follow to create Bowmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky are simply a subtly refined evolution of what has always been. Indeed, stepping into our Vault Number One on the shores of Lough Indaal is like stepping back in time.
