  • The distillery

    The Tomatin distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands, near the village of Tomatin. Founded in 1897 , it has earned a distinguished reputation for the quality of its single malt whiskies. Its name comes from Scottish Gaelic, meaning "oak hill."

    In 2013, it became the first distillery in Scotland to install an environmentally friendly wood pellet-fired steam boiler . The wood pellets used to fuel the boiler are made from virgin wood .
