  • The distillery

    The Tomatin distillery is located in the Scottish Highlands, near the village of Tomatin. Founded in 1897 , it has earned a distinguished reputation for the quality of its single malt whiskies. Its name comes from Scottish Gaelic, meaning "oak hill."

    In 2013, it became the first distillery in Scotland to install an environmentally friendly wood pellet-fired steam boiler . The wood pellets used to fuel the boiler are made from virgin wood .

Posiblemente, uno de los mejores rones para combinar

Excelente ron para combinar con cola. Preferiblemente con una rodaja de lima o limón en lugar de naranja.
También queda bien con mojitos, daikirís, etc. o para tomar sólo con hielo. Aunque ahí encontrará bastante competencia.

Probé la kombucha Hopefield con sabor a lúpulo y me sorprendió gratamente. Tiene un equilibrio muy interesante entre lo ácido típico de la kombucha y las notas amargas y florales del lúpulo. Es refrescante, con un sabor complejo pero accesible, ideal para quienes buscan una alternativa saludable a las cervezas o bebidas gaseosas. Además, se nota que está hecha con ingredientes naturales y de calidad. Perfecta para tomar bien fría, especialmente en días calurosos. ¡Sin duda, una kombucha con personalidad!
