Denomination of Origin Extremadura is a wine-growing region located in the autonomous community of Extremadura, in the southwest of Spain.

This appellation mainly produces red wines, although white and rosé wines are also produced.

The wines of Extremadura are characterized by their Mediterranean character, with Atlantic and continental influence, which gives them a great diversity of styles and flavors. They are made with grape varieties such as Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and others, and stand out for their body, structure and notes of ripe fruits, spices and nuances of the earth.

They are ideal wines to pair with game dishes, red meats and aged cheeses.
