Retuerta Abbey Winery

With 30 years of history and more than eight centuries of documented winemaking tradition, Abadía Retuerta finds its essence and reason for being in the single-vineyard wine, which is the one that most accurately expresses the personality and uniqueness of its terroir.

The monks who founded the abbey began cultivating vines and producing wine. They chose this location, on the banks of the Duero River, for its importance in the cultivation of vines. Today, the winery, perfectly integrated into the beautiful surroundings, is one of the most prestigious in the area and since the beginning of 2022, with its own Protected Designation of Origin .

A seal of quality recognised by the European Union and which endorses Abadía Retuerta wine as a product with a guarantee of origin, quality and tradition. It certifies the uniqueness of the soils of Abadía Retuerta and the maximum expression of its terroir, understood as the climatic and geographical characteristics that provide unique qualities to its vineyards and grapes, and the personality of its wines.

The quality of their wines shows their own identity and is governed by a single criterion: working with their own grapes, which come directly from their vineyards and are produced in their own winery.
