Jameson Distillery Bow St.

Long before selfies, John Jameson was the man who founded us. He was born in Alloa, Scotland, in 1740 and moved to Dublin in the late 1770s. Four of his sons followed in his footsteps in distilling in Ireland and founded a family dynasty that has lasted for generations. He died on December 3, 1823, at the ripe old age of 83. Notice how many times the number 3 appears in that last sentence. It's no wonder we still do three distillations to this day. It's a very special number for us.

The most recent renovations we've undertaken focus on celebrating the living legacy of John Jameson and the stories of the barrel men who helped build it. And, naturally, we also pay tribute to the people who continue to innovate for the future of the world's finest Irish whiskey in Midleton.
