DO Chablis (France)

The Chablis appellation refers to a wine region in Burgundy, France, known for producing high-quality white wines made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. This appellation is recognized worldwide for its distinctive characteristics, which result from the region's unique terroir.

Chablis has different levels of classification that reflect the quality and place of origin of the vineyards:

Petit Chablis: Fresh and light wines from the outermost areas of the region.

Chablis: The general appellation, representative of most of the region.

Chablis Premier Cru: Higher quality wines, originating from specific vineyards recognized for their excellence.
