Lands bathed by the Duero, a harsh climate, expert hands, a pact with time. Dedication, soul, passion... A mystery impossible to explain.

There are those who think that the myth of Vega Sicilia arose because it was an aristocratic wine, rare, within the reach of a lucky few, an object of desire that only a privileged few could enjoy. However, what many do not know is that the true origin of the myth is found in a story of hope, commitment and patience on the banks of the Duero, as it passes through the heart of Castile, where the river bathes and feeds a unique and singular estate... almost magical.

This barren, dry, hard and wise Earth was destined for something great. It had to ally itself with Time to fulfil its great dream: to give the best of itself, to achieve extraordinary crops that would fill it with pride and be a sign of the splendour of nature. But, to do so, Earth and Time needed the help of man. Someone who would be their eyes and their hands and cultivate respecting the rhythms of nature.

Centuries passed by waiting for someone to hear the call of this magical land. Only a few have the gift of seeing beyond, of hearing what others only hear, of feeling what others do not feel. Until one day, fate brought a man who heeded the call, a man who believed in intuition and changed the traditional cultivation of cereals for the best strains of the 19th century. A man who knew how to learn from nature, patiently respected its rhythms, cared for the Earth and protected Time, thus achieving a perfect balance.

With autumn came the grape harvest and Tierra was finally able to fulfil her dream, that for which she was predestined; the grapes obtained showed incomparable character and personality and, after maturing in the silence and solitude of the winery, became one of the great myths in the history of wine. At last, Vega Sicilia was born.
