MATTER 2017

Materia 2017 is an exceptional wine made by Chozas Carrascal. It is a single-varietal 100% Bobal, with a vintage of 2017 and an alcohol content of 15.0% vol. Its color is dark cherry red with a ruby-purple rim. On the nose, it is complex and elegant, with fruity notes of blackberry, blackcurrant and raspberry, hints of spice, dried fruits and a subtle mineral background. In the mouth, it is voluminous, silky and velvety, with a balance between acidity and tannicity.

DESCRIPCIÓN

It remains in French oak barrels for 16-18 months.

Production in a truncated cone-shaped concrete tank. Pre-maceration at 3-4ºC for 24 hours in a cold chamber. Alcoholic fermentation in concrete tanks, with maceration periods of around 18 days. Pumping over twice a day and three deléstages during alcoholic fermentation.

It remains in the barrel for a period of approximately 16-18 months, depending on the evolution of the wine, undergoing malolactic fermentation in the barrel and using first, second and third year French oak barrels from Alliers, using volumes of 225 liters and 300 liters.

Optimal consumption until approximately 2030 if kept in good conditions.

Vista

Vino de capa alta. Color rojo cereza picota oscuro, con ribete de color entre rubí y púrpura. Lágrima generosa y aspecto limpio.

Nariz

Vino completo en aromas, de perfil complejo y elegante. Su nariz es un intrincado conjunto de aromas, que armonizan a la perfección. Podemos encontrar notas frutales tales como zarzamora, grosella negra o frambuesa. Asimismo muestra matices especiados y de frutos secos, finalizando con notas de carácter dulce, tales como, vainilla, toffee y café con leche, sobre un sutil fondo mineral.

Boca

De ataque potente. Voluminoso en boca, sedoso y aterciopelado. El excelente equilibrio entre su acidez y tanicidad, le confieren una sensación estructurada y pulida. Al igual que en nariz, se muestra exuberante en boca. Recordando los aromas de frutas rojas y negras, envolviendo a su vez el paladar en matices especiados, tostados y torrefactos, que se prolongan en el tiempo.
