DESCRIPCIÓN
The LAWSON'S DRY HILLS Gewürztraminer 2020 is an outstanding interpretation of one of the world's most aromatic grape varieties, grown in the Marlborough region of New Zealand. This label reflects the winery's commitment to excellence, varietal authenticity, and a deep respect for the terroir. Since its first vintage in 1991, Lawson's Dry Hills has been recognized for its ability to work with this complex and demanding grape, achieving wines of great balance and personality.
Sourced from select vineyards where cool climatic conditions allow for slow and gradual ripening, this vintage benefits from meticulous management both in the vineyard and the winery. The harvest was carried out at the perfect moment to preserve the natural richness of the variety without sacrificing freshness or structure.
The winemaking process combines traditional techniques with a modern approach that seeks to maximize varietal expression without sacrificing elegance. Part of the must is slowly fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel, while another portion may mature briefly on its fine lees to add texture and complexity. The result is a wine that faithfully reflects both the varietal and the winery's distinctive style.
The 2020 vintage of Lawson's Dry Hills Gewürztraminer reaffirms Marlborough's place as an unexpectedly excellent origin for this Alsatian variety. With a limited and carefully crafted production, this wine stands out for its distinctive character, natural balance, and potential for aging in the bottle, offering a sophisticated expression of this unique grape.
