DESCRIPCIÓN

Mariano García , a legendary figure in the world of Spanish winemaking, has been key to the recognition of wines from Castilla y León. As founder of the Mauro winery, he has managed to make his wines, although without DO, among the most outstanding, competing at the level of the greats of the Ribera del Duero. However, his ambition goes further, as he has expanded his production to other regions such as Toro, Bierzo and Rioja. In the latter, in the DOCa. Rioja, he has created an exceptional red wine together with his two sons, in Baños de Ebro, once again showing his golden touch that makes every winemaking project he gets involved in a success.

Baynos wine is a red wine made from old Tempranillo vines with a small amount of Graciano, planted in plots in Baños de Ebro, in Rioja Alavesa. These vines, between 40 and 100 years old, grow in poor soils with abundant clay and are cultivated organically, using biodynamic practices and animal traction. In the winery, the winemaking process is traditional: the grapes are selected and destemmed, and without pressing them, they are left to ferment with native yeasts in cement tanks. The wine is matured in French oak barrels for 20 months before being bottled.
