The PEGASUS BAY Riesling Magnum 2021 is a special large-format edition of one of New Zealand's most iconic white wines. Sourced from old vines on the stony, well-drained slopes of the Waipara Valley in North Canterbury, this magnum version allows you to further appreciate the aging potential and evolution of this Riesling, handcrafted by the Donaldson family, pioneers of winemaking in the region.
The 2021 vintage was marked by ideal weather conditions, with slow and progressive ripening that allowed for the harvesting of grapes with excellent concentration, natural acidity, and a vibrant aromatic profile. En copa, el vino presenta un tono amarillo brillante con reflejos verdosos, anticipando frescura y juventud, a pesar del formato de guarda.
Nariz
Ofrece una intensa y compleja paleta aromática: notas de lima, cáscara de mandarina y manzana verde se entrelazan con frutas de hueso como albaricoque y durazno blanco. Se perciben también delicados matices florales (jazmín, flor de azahar) y un fondo mineral marcado. En esta añada, aparece un sutil toque de miel y cera de abejas, posiblemente derivado de una pequeña proporción de botrytis noble, aportando profundidad sin perder frescura.

Muestra gran energía y equilibrio. La acidez vibrante equilibra perfectamente un leve dulzor residual, generando tensión y armonía. Su textura es sedosa pero firme, con sabores cítricos y minerales que se despliegan con claridad y persistencia.
