Rubentis Ameztoi Rosado 2024 is a winemaking gem born from the tradition of the Getariako Txakolina DO, in Getaria (Basque Country). Created by the Ameztoi family winery, this rosé txakoli blends local character with innovation, offering a vibrant reinterpretation of the ancestral "rubi txakolí" that was produced on the shores of the Cantabrian Sea. .
The result of the traditional blend of Hondarrabi Zuri (white grape) and Hondarrabi Beltza (red grape), Rubentis is made with vines dating back to the early 20th century, some planted in 1840, and which have stood the test of time thanks to the Ameztoi family's commitment to their own vineyards The white and red grapes are vinified together in stainless steel tanks, preserving their natural effervescence – the result of traditional fermentation – without the use of added gas. .
This rosé represents not only a refreshing variant within the Ameztoi txakoli range, but also a historical and cultural piece: the first rosé in the region, inspired by the old "clairets" wines of Cantabria. Its name, “Rubentis”, evokes that ruby tone at sunset that illuminates the Basque landscape, and its artisanal production process clearly reflects the philosophy of the house: respect for the terroir, history and authenticity.
