Airde comes from vineyards located in the northwesternmost part of Rioja Alavesa, in Salinillas de Buradón, the only vineyards in the appellation located on the northern slope of Sierra Cantabria.

DESCRIPCIÓN

These terroirs are also characterized by being the only soils in Rioja with a high salt content, especially gypsum, with the saline character being appreciable in tasting in a way that adds singularity to the aromatic expression.

Grapes are selected first in the vineyard and then at the winery, on the sorting table, to choose only the best grapes. They are hand-harvested in 12 kg crates. Each plot is vinified in separate tanks to respect the voice and personality of each terroir.

Subsequent aging for 12 months in third-use French (93%) and American (7%) oak barrels.

Nariz

Gran expresividad aromática, dominada por fruta negra fresca (moras, grosella negra y arándanos) y tonos florales (violetas). Marcado carácter salino y mineral, con notas especiadas y ahumadas, rooibos, paté de aceitunas negras y notas herbáceas que añaden frescura junto con los tonos balsámicos. Destaca por una deliciosa complejidad aromática.

Boca

Fresco y equilibrado, cremoso y con gran volumen. Con la estructura justa para invitar al siguiente trago, fino y elegante.
