DESCRIPCIÓN
Compass Box The Story of the Spaniard is a blended Scotch malt that stands out for its fruity, warm, and enveloping character, influenced by casks that previously held Spanish wines such as Sherry and Tempranillo. This expression is inspired by a personal journey of Compass Box founder John Glaser and his discovery of whiskies aged in wine casks in Southern Europe.
Crafted from a carefully selected blend of malts from various distilleries, mostly in the Highlands, this whisky focuses on the richness and roundness that maturation in European oak can impart. A significant portion of the blend has been aged in first-fill wine casks, making it a unique offering within the Compass Box portfolio.
As is customary for the house, no chill filtration or artificial colorings are used, guaranteeing a pure and transparent experience. Bottled at 43% ABV, it offers a modern and approachable expression of Scotch whisky, with a personality that moves away from the peaty profile and towards smoothness, elegance, and fruity character.
The Story of the Spaniard is an invitation to discover the potential of Scotch whisky when it is crossed with the wine heritage of the Iberian Peninsula, expressed with the sensitivity and creativity characteristic of Compass Box.
CATA
