Cointreau is a French liqueur made from sweet and bitter oranges that is used in many classic cocktails .
It is colorless, has a balanced taste of sweet and bitter with notes of orange peel and an alcohol content of 40%.
It can be drunk alone, with ice or in cocktails such as the Margarita, the Cosmopolitan or the Sidecar.
It was created in 1875 by Edouard Cointreau and has been a popular liquor brand ever since.
