DESCRIPCIÓN

Marqués de Cáceres Selección Especial Crianza 2019, 100% red from the country, comes from an Excellent vintage, from a 4.5 hectare vineyard located in Anguix, in the Ribera del Duero of Burgos. They are vines cultivated with the utmost care and respect, with yields of less than 4,500 kg/ha, which grow in a mosaic of soils of great viticultural aptitude within the area.

Despite the small surface area, there is great variability in the terrain. On a base of poor tertiary soils with little organic matter, limestone veins emerge that provide structure and minerality to the wines. Manual harvest in small boxes, plot by plot. The short distance to the winery allows the bunches of red wine from the country (tempranillo) to arrive in optimal conditions to begin careful production.

Artisan production in small stainless steel tanks, with whole grapes and indigenous yeast from the clusters themselves. Prolonged maceration, but without over-extraction. All processes were carried out by gravity, without pumping or movements that would erode the quality of the grapes. This results in a red wine that preserves the fruity aromas while presenting a deep color, characteristic of Ribera del Duero.
