Red wines are probably the most consumed wines in the world. The red category is very wide and varied. Spain has the best Designations of Origin for this product.

Red wines are made from red grapes, which can be of different varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Malbec, Syrah, among others. The production of a red wine involves the maceration of the grapes for a period of time to extract the color, tannins and aromas characteristic of the variety used. Subsequently, alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels or stainless steel tanks to refine the flavor and give it the desired texture.
