San Agustín, located in Jalisco, is a picturesque town known for its traditional charm and its growing connection to tequila production. Surrounded by scenic fields of blue agave, San Agustín contributes to the region's rich tequila heritage, with local distilleries specializing in crafting small-batch tequilas using traditional methods.

Agaves grow in Los Altos de Jalisco , a region of reddish soil where the elevation, minerals and climatic conditions give the agave unique properties.

To obtain tequila, the agave undergoes a long transformation:

During the harvesting process, the leaves of the agave plant are removed to reveal the heart, known as the piña. The piñas are cooked in masonry ovens and ground to extract the sugars produced during cooking.

Fermentation with our proprietary yeast infuses the elixir with our signature profile, while its notes are shaped during double distillation in copper stills. This dedicated effort results in an exquisite tequila.

After distillation comes Clase Azul Tequila Plata, a brilliant unaged tequila that faithfully captures the notes of the agave. For our other tequilas, however, the journey is not yet over.

Time is essential in creating tequilas with more complex profiles. To create them, our unaged tequila must mature in oak barrels and other woods, studying and appreciating its evolution over months and years.

From the distinguished Clase Azul Tequila Reposado to the extra añejo Clase Azul Tequila Ultra, we firmly believe that every drop of tequila expresses something unique of the richness and character that only time can bestow.

Nine regions of the vast Mexican territory jealously guard a rich and ancestral tradition: the production of mezcal.

Unlike tequila, which is distilled exclusively from blue agave, the different types of mezcal come from various species of agave, each a reflection of the soil qualities and conditions that nourish and support its growth.

Our mezcals, handcrafted in the states of Durango and Guerrero, capture the natural and cultural essence of these regions and transport you to them to reveal their best-kept secrets.
