The Valencia Denomination of Origin is a wine-growing region located in the Valencian Community, in eastern Spain.
The climate in Valencia is Mediterranean with continental influence, with mild winters and hot, dry summers. Valencia wines are made from a wide variety of grapes, both red and white, such as Tempranillo, Bobal, Monastrell, Garnacha, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Muscat and others. Red wines from Valencia tend to be robust and fruity, with good structure and body, while white wines are fresh and aromatic. Rosés are also popular in this region. Valencia wines can present notes of ripe fruits, spices, flowers and balsamic touches.
They are versatile wines that pair well with a wide variety of dishes, from red meats and cheeses to fish and seafood.
