A unique enclave in the Rioja Alavesa region, with an unparalleled setting for viticulture. From the outside, Bodegas Baigorri appears to be nothing more than a gigantic glass box. Surrounded by a vast sea of vineyards overlooking the village of Samaniego and nestled at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria mountains, it surprises visitors upon entering the building. After admiring the beauty and contrasting colors of its surroundings, they discover that beneath the surface lie seven underground levels where gravity plays a central role in the production of its unique wines.
The building adapts to the existing topography and harmoniously unfolds its entire structure beneath the surface. It's a place where you can observe the entire winemaking process. Bodegas BAIGORRI was designed and built by the architect Iñaki Aspiazu. This creation is tailored to the unique winemaking methods of our region and serves as a benchmark for architecture that integrates seamlessly with the landscape, respecting its surroundings.
