Bodegas Ramón Bilbao is an example of the purest Rioja tradition combined with innovation and the highest quality.

They began their journey as a winery in 1924, although as early as 1896 Don Ramón Bilbao Murga was selling wines in the streets of the municipality of Haro, where he still has his facilities today.

Until 1966, the winery's path had followed its course, passed down from generation to generation. Sadly, in that year, Ramón Bilbao Pozo passed away without heirs. Five years later, the Ramón Bilbao project became a limited company under new ownership. New winery facilities were built in Haro, and work continued to perpetuate the spirit of the founding family.

In 1999, under the ownership of the Zamora Group, one of Spain's largest beverage companies, Bodegas Ramón Bilbao began a program of modernization, internationalization, and brand promotion at the consumer level, expanding its product range. Today, it is one of the best-known Rioja wineries, under the guidance of renowned technical director Rodolfo Bastida.

The winery owns nearly 75 hectares of vineyards spread across some of Rioja's most prestigious villages, including Haro, San Vicente de la Sonsierra, and Briones. The Ramón Bilbao winery complex has been located on the outskirts of Haro since 1972, surrounded by vineyards and equipped with state-of-the-art technology to produce some of Rioja's finest wines. The winery also boasts a visitor center, one of the five most popular in the appellation, a professional tasting room, and a wine shop. The winery's excellence was recognized in 2014 with the award for best winery in Spain at the International Wine and Spirit Competition.
