Bodegas Martín Códax was founded in 1985 and named after the most famous Galician troubadour, who used to sing of love and the sea of our coastline. His medieval poems, the oldest in the Galician-Portuguese language with their original music, are still preserved.
Since its founding, Bodegas Martín Códax has grown and developed while always supporting its people, its land, and its culture. That is who we are, and that is how our wines are made. A project that began with the dream, passion, and hard work of a group of winegrowing families is now a reality that has allowed Bodegas Martín Códax to become a symbol of Galician wines both within and outside our country, promoting our unique and strong identity in more than 50 countries worldwide.
