The concept of the winery, created by the Konkrit Blu architectural studio, seeks to integrate the building into the landscape, minimizing the visual impact and respecting the environment.
The project strategy was based on taking advantage of the unevenness of the plot to partially bury the building: to the north, the five grape harvest gates connect the field with the production room and act as gravity-fed grape pouring points, as was done in the past.
The use of gravity favors both the quality of the final product and energy optimization.
Light is the other essential element in this project: light in greater or lesser incidence on the mass and the space. Thus, in the maturation room where the barrels sleep, buried in silence, the entry of light is minimal and indirect, in contrast to the production room, bathed in light.
In this architecture, the chosen material, in situ concrete or cement, represents the total material, which provides continuity to the earth from the earth, acting at the same time as thermal insulation, which allows reducing the use of air conditioning and forced ventilation.
On the other hand, solar incidence is controlled by a system of horizontal aluminum sheets along the curtain wall.
In this way, the ergonomics of the winery with its two elongated sides presents functional advantages with good lighting conditions, natural ventilation, maximum thermal insulation - in production, aging and maturation rooms - and connection between its interior spaces.
