After an initial traditional maturation, the whisky is finished in four separate casks and then carefully blended:

First-fill ex-bourbon barrels (contribute sweetness and vanilla).

Matusalem sherry barrels (30 years) (fruit, sweet spices).

Barrels of Jerez Apostoles (30 years) (intensity and character).

Cabernet Sauvignon wine barrels from Bordeaux (tannins and structure).
