DESCRIPCIÓN
Gaudium 2020 represents the pinnacle of Marqués de Cáceres' winemaking excellence. It comes from a careful selection of small plots of very old vines, some over a century old, located between 400 and 740 meters above sea level in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. These low-yielding, highly concentrated vines produce grapes of exceptional quality.
Made primarily with Tempranillo and a small proportion of Graciano, the wine is fermented using a meticulous artisanal process and aged for 18 months in new, fine-grained French oak barrels. It then rests in the bottle to reach its full potential before being released to the market.
Visually, it displays a deep burgundy color with brilliant highlights. On the nose, it unfolds complex aromas of ripe black fruit, balsamic notes, fine spices, and delicate toasty oak. On the palate, it is powerful, structured, and enveloping, with firm yet silky tannins, great balance, and a long, lingering finish.
