CRISTOM Mt Jefferson Cuvee Pinot Noir 2023
DESCRIPCIÓN
This is Cristom's signature blend, designed to capture the diversity of the Eola-Amity Hills terroir. It is made with 75% grapes from our own vineyards and 25% from neighboring plots, grown on volcanic basalt soils of the Columbia River, using certified sustainable viticulture and a biodynamic approach.
The winemaking process begins with hand-harvesting, including 52% whole cluster grapes, and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in open tanks. It remains in contact with its lees for 10–12 months in French oak barrels, 22% of which are new. It is bottled and clarified with minimal intervention, without filtration.
With 475 barrels produced, it offers a clear expression of Cristom's style: true to the place, balanced, with a fresh structure, marked acidity and a complex profile that evolves thanks to the integration of multiple plots.
Specialized critics have praised the 2023 vintage with outstanding scores: James Suckling awarded it 95 points, highlighting its firmness and concentration, while Wine Spectator also gave it 95, reaffirming its polish and detail; it is expected to evolve until 2035.
In wine enthusiast communities, this cuvée is recognized as a great value option, with fresh and approachable expressions in its early stages, capable of competing with higher-end Pinot Noir.

De color rojo rubí brillante y capa media, este Pinot Noir seduce a primera vista por su luminosidad y vivacidad.
Nariz
En nariz despliega una intensa expresión aromática donde destacan las cerezas rojas maduras, frambuesas frescas y notas florales sutiles que recuerdan a pétalos de rosa. Aparecen también delicados matices especiados, como canela y pimienta blanca, y un toque terroso característico del terroir de Eola-Amity Hills.
Boca
En boca se muestra fresco y equilibrado, con una acidez viva que aporta tensión y alarga el paso por boca. La textura es sedosa, con taninos finos y pulidos que envuelven sabores de frutas rojas jugosas, especias suaves y un discreto toque mineral. El final es largo, elegante y deja una agradable sensación de frescura y pureza.
