Zacapa Centenario it's a Ron which is aged in "the house above the clouds" .
Unlike most of the rums , which use molasses, the creation of Zacapa Rum begins with the use of virgin sugar cane juice , which is made from the first pressing process of sugar cane.
The magic of aged is inspired by solera system , where our rum's journey includes a wide variety of barrel types and styles carefully selected by Lorena Vásquez in order to capture specific flavors and textures, as well as the perfect color of the liquor.
After distillation, Zacapa undergoes an incredible journey from the lowlands in the shadow of volcanoes to the head of a valley 2,300 meters (7,545 feet) above sea level, where the cooler, humid climate of the "House Above the Clouds" "allows Zacapa to acquire its unique qualities and characteristic flavor profile .
He Fresh mountain air delicately ages the rum , allowing the deep aroma, body, intense color and rich flavor of Zacapa to develop. Here at the House Above the Clouds, wooden barrels share their aromas and flavors through the solera system's unique aging process.
