The pearl of the Finca Tremoedo is the beautiful building of Bodegas GRANBAZÁN, with a marked influence from a French Château and now covered in blue tiles, in a nod to the Galician Indian houses. The winery, in neoclassical style, is half-buried and faces north, maintaining constant and cool temperatures throughout the year. In the kingdom of Galicia, Albariño wine was already a myth thanks to the songs of poets, as well as the thirst and faith of the Cambadeses.
Wines made from the Albariño grape were highly valued and only drunk on special occasions. Their consumption and distribution was an obscurantist adventure that required guidance and recommendations. The bottles lacked labels and the small family wineries, despite their efforts, did not have the means or the necessary knowledge to offer reliable and stable wines.
The Tremoedo estate is a benchmark in the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin; just 3 km from Cambados, it is a dream destination to enjoy the surroundings, learn about the viticulture of the area and taste the full range of our Granbazán wines.
The GRANBAZÁN Winery was founded in Galicia more than 35 years ago as part of an ambitious wine project whose aim was to produce wines capable of reliably withstanding the privileged climatic conditions that took place in those lands, resulting in a unique Albariño wine in the world.
At that time, GRANBAZÁN was the protagonist of the most important agro-industrial revolution in the history of Galicia. Today it is a benchmark in R&D&I in the field of viticulture and oenology.
