Palomar de la Reina 2019 is the ultimate expression of the character and elegance of La Mejorada, a single-vineyard wine made exclusively with Syrah grapes from selected vineyards in Olmedo, Valladolid. Sandy soils with gravel and a continental climate give the wine a unique personality, where power and finesse are exceptionally balanced.
After a manual harvest and careful selection of bunches, the wine ferments with temperature control and is aged for 19 months in French oak barrels, achieving a complex and silky structure.
On the nose, it displays intense aromas of ripe black fruit, violets, cocoa, and delicate spicy and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is ample, round, and elegant, with polished tannins and a long, persistent finish that leaves a deep and harmonious memory.
