DESCRIPCIÓN
We are in the municipality of Leza. A hundred meters south of the town, we find a wide clay-limestone hillside, planted with vines in 1912. This estate is striking for its concentration of Malvasía Riojana vines, also called "Rojal," which coexist with other varieties. There are nearly 4,500 plants of this traditional white varietal of the area, from which, each year, the grapes that will make up AMAREN MALVASIA 60 are selected. But not all grapes will be suitable...
To be part of the Malvasia 60 wine, the Rojal grapes from this estate must have an uncommon characteristic: a golden-pink color that could be explained by the advanced age of the plants (110 years), their light bunches, with small berries, their DNA, the climate and the environment.
It has remained for 18 months in a 1,700 liter concrete egg. Aged on lees with weekly bâtonnage.
CATA
Amarillo dorado. Limpio y brillante.
