El ron Barceló tuvo su origen en 1929, cuando Julián Barceló, llegó a República Dominicana con el propósito de elaborar un ron que pasará a la historia como el mejor del mundo, y fue justo un año después, en 1930, cuando fundó Barceló & Co. En ese momento el joven español tenía solo 26 años, pero muchos sueños, y en poco tiempo inició la producción y comercialización de sus primeros rones en todo el país.
