Cuentaovejas 2023 is a single-varietal red wine made entirely from Tinta de Toro grapes, one of the main grapes of the Toro Designation of Origin in the province of Zamora, Spain. This wine is produced by Bodegas Peñafiel, a winery renowned for its commitment to quality and authenticity in its wines.
The grapes used to make Cuentaovejas 2023 come from vineyards located in the best areas of San Román de Hornija, a town on the banks of the Duero River. The harvest is done by hand, selecting the bunches at their optimal ripeness to obtain a fruity and powerful wine.
The winemaking process involves controlled fermentation, followed by aging in French oak barrels, which imparts characteristic complexity and elegance. The result is a wine that reflects the character of the Tinta de Toro grape, with a modern and balanced expression.
